If you've created your own artwork, we can print from most file formats including:

Acrobat PDFs (preferred)
JPEGs (preferred)

We will check your files for compatibility when we receive your artwork and let you know if we encounter any obvious issues. If your artwork has been supplied in its original format (i.e QuarkXpress, Word etc), we will convert to PDF format and provide you with a proof via email before we proceed. This helps to ensure that your artwork is printed correctly first time every time.

Before sending us your artwork, please check the resolution of your images carefully. Looking good on screen is no indication of final print quality. Images only need to be 72dpi (dots per inch) in order to display correctly on screen, and images downloaded from the internet are generally unsuitable for printing purposes. A photograph or other pixel-based image needs to be supplied at around 300dpi to achieve the desired print quality. Please note that images placed in Microsoft Office documents such as Word and Publisher only print at 72dpi.

All artwork supplied should include 3mm bleed with crop marks. Some movement is unavoidable with all printing processes, and the bleed allows for any trimming variation. It is also advisable to place important elements of your design at least 3mm away from the edge of the paper, so that they don't end up getting trimmed off.

If you have any questions regarding your artwork, please feel free to call us on 0121 507 9601 and one of our designers will be happy to advise you.

A correctly prepared PDF file is always preferable when supplying artwork, but please ensure that all fonts are embedded.
